Michael Ceely is a licensed psychotherapist and owner of Ceely Counseling, serving clients throughout California. He also offers online therapy in Florida at Men's Counseling Florida and in Wisconsin at Madison Online Therapy.

Michael is the founder of Men’s Therapy Directory, a website dedicated to helping men access counseling resources.

Michael is also a former competitive cyclist. During his career, he won two state titles, and twice went to the Olympic Trials. He works with athletes through his High Performance Coaching Program.

"Dude, the only way is up!"

-The mystery rock climber who saved my life

I heard the blood pounding in my eardrums and felt my mouth starting to get dry. My legs started to shake. I needed to change my body position, but I didn't see another foothold. Suddenly a wave of panic overtook me. My whole body started to quiver. I moved closer to the rock and inhaled deeply through my nose. "Breathe… just breathe," I told myself.

Just then, a voice from below shouted, "Hey dude, you gotta keep moving!" I looked down. One of the climbers, a tall lanky guy with a ponytail, was talking to me.

"I'm just gonna stay here for a minute," I replied. "I don't know where to go."

"There's a hold above you, to your left," the climber explained.

"What if I come down?" I offered pleadingly.

At once the whole chorus of climbers shouted, "No!"

"Dude, the only way is up." Replied the ponytailed climber.
